My friend Chris Stack over at Experimental Synth posted this video “Exploring the Vo-96 – Acoustic Synth”. It’s been getting great coverage at various blogs and I wanted to share it here on the odd chance you missed it.
The Vo-96 Acoustic Synth is the newest innovation from Paul Vo, the inventor of The Moog Guitar. It opens a new method of musical expression called Acoustic Synthesis. Will Rayan and Vincent Crow of The Electric Jazz Project try it out for the first time. Learn more at www.voinventions.com.
I had the opportunity to see Paul Vo speak at the Mountain-Skies Electro-Music Festival in Asheville in 2012 on his invention the Moog Guitar. While I’m not a guitarist it was really fascinating to hear him talk about instrument design and design philosophy. Very cool to see him getting some visibility with this new project.
