I just finished watching the latest Push 2 videos. I use Live 10 and Push 2 almost every day and learned some new things – so I differently recommend watching these videos whether you are new to Live 10 and  Push 2 or a seasoned player.

Sound Design Project: Honored to be a Contributor to The Round Wavetable Pack

roundwaveloop.gif

I’m psyched and honored to be a part of this sound design project for the amazing new Ableton Wavetable Synth – The Round Wavetable Pack. AfroDJMac who curated this project had this to say about it…

Ableton Live 10 comes with a beast of a new synthesizer, Wavetable. Wavetable, as expected, uses wavetable synthesis to produce a near endless potential of sounds. To celebrate this new instrument, I’ve enlisted the help of 6 talented producers and sound designers. I ask them to send along a few presets using Wavetable, in any genre or style they wished. The result is 32 Wavetable and Instrument Rack presets that showcase the depth and power of Wavetable, as well as some of the other new devices in Ableton Live 10.

Contributors to this pack are:

  1. AfroDJMac – http://www.afrodjmac.com
  2. Isaac Cotec –  https://subaqueousmusic.com
  3. Thomas Glendinning – https://elphnt.co.za/
  4. Mark Mosher – https://ModulateThis.com
  5. pAtches – https://patches.zone
  6. Josh Spoon – http://www.theproducerskitchen.com/
  7. Mark Towers – https://marktowers.net/

Here is a video overview of the pack by AfroDJMac.

Here is a video of early work on one of my presets “Dark Star” that made into this Live Pack.

A big thanks to AfroDJMac for curating all this!

I’ve been enjoying John Carpenter’s recent music releases and was happy to see he was also on Bandcamp at https://johncarpentermusic.bandcamp.com/.

So much great music out here! My fav track lately is “A Windy Death” on Lost Themes II.

His album Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 was released yesterday

He’s also on tour http://www.theofficialjohncarpenter.com/tour/ – sadly with no dates in the Denver area yet :^(.

Miss American Vampire by Victoria Lundy

Victoria is a friend, frequent collaborator, and a wonderful Thereminist. Her debut solo album Miss American Vampire released on Halloween 2015 is fantastic! https://victorialundy.bandcamp.com/

No Ghosts. Just Fear.

I released No Ghosts. Just Fear. Back in 2012  https://markmosher.bandcamp.com/album/no-ghosts-just-fear. Note this, and my entire catalog on Bandcamp are now “name your price”.

The dark ambient sounds and music within these arrangements was created and performed on various virtual instruments. In some cases original audio recordings were used as sources then re-shaped with granular synthesis to turn these recordings into playable expressive instruments with huge sonic range and motion.

Happy Halloween,
